POSCNX

Edit POSCNX.ini (found in: \rpower\winrun\ini) so that Server= (line 2 in this example) references the RPOWER workstation that will function as the report server, typically the file server. The entry may reference either the computer name or its IP address (in which case, ensure that it is a static IP address). Edit the port assignment if necessary, 32112 is typical.

[Setup]
Server=Server1:32112
ServerKey=12345678
ClerkID=8888      ; Order taker, must have a job; RPOWER will punch in automatically

    order tips on house account charges

Background RPOWER

Edit the workstation ini file, e.g. _Cash1.ini (found in: \rpower\winrun\ini) to set OnLineServer=1 (line 8 in this example).

[Setup]
K3LOCTM=0,0
RPOPOS=0
LOCOLOR=0
X-RES=800
BlankScreen=0
DesktopIcon=1
OnlineServer=1
LoadOnStart=0

Configure Password and Reports (optional)

Edit WEB.ini (found in: \rpower\winrun\ini) to change the User Name and Password found in the [REALM Reports/] section in the format User=UserName:Password. (Optional, the default is rpower:rpower). Optionally, remark out unneeded reports by prefacing the report name with a semicolon and a space in the [PAGE reports] section, e.g.:

; REPORT=currcrew,m

  • Note: The example WEB.ini shown below is partial, and is presented only for reference. Do not cut and paste solely from this example.
[Setup]
SessionTimeout=300 ; 5 minutes
NoUpdate=0 ; set to 1 if do not want updates to new versions OF THIS FILE

Restart RPOWER

Exit and restart RPOWER on the report server (including background RPOWER , if running), double-checking that a background RPOWER actually starts (look for the RPOWER icon in the notification area (system tray) to the right of the taskbar).

Port Forward

Access the router and forward the port set in POSCNX.ini$ (typically 32112) to the IP address of the report server set in *POSCNX.ini (typically the file server). Remember to save changes.

Test

From a computer remote of the system site, launch a web browser, and in the address bar type http:// followed by the public IP address of the site, a colon, and the forwarded port, then Enter, e.g.

http://75.65.122.139:32112

If correctly configured, RPOWER will display:
