How do I void an item?

Open the guest check, highlight the item to be voided, press Void or Void Item(s) depending on the window open, select a Void Reason, enter a manager's Passcode, press Yes. See Item Void for details.

How do I void an entire check?

Open the guest check, press Review Order, press Void Check, select a Void Reason, enter a manager's Passcode.

Open the guest check, press Void CC Auth.

How do I transfer a table?

Open the guest check, press Review Order, press Transfer Table, enter a manager's passcode and select a new table. To transfer the server as well as the table press Yes. To transfer only the table press No. Press OK.

How do I transfer a server?

Open the guest check, press Review Order, press Transfer Server, enter a manager's Passcode and select a new server. To transfer the table as well as the server press Yes. To transfer only the server press No. Press OK.

How do I change the number of guests on a guest check?

Open the guest check, press Review Order, press Change #Guests, select Number of Guests.

How do I override an 86?

With the guest check open, order the item by touching it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt.

How do I allow a server to continue after split check?

After a guest check is split, every operation may require a manager. With the guest check open, enter a manager's Passcode when prompted.

How do I change the In/Out/Delivery status of a check?

With the guest check open, press Pick Up, select from Dine-In, Pick-Up or Delivery. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt.

How do I apply a discount or gratuity?

With the guest check open press Review Order, press Discounts & Coupons, then press the appropriate discount or gratuity. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt.

How do I 86 an item or set an item count down?

From an idle workstation, press Count Dn or 86. Select an item by touching it, or switch to another menu panel and touch the item there. Enter a manager's Passcode. Enter the number of items on hand, or enter 0 to 86 the item. If applicable, enter "critical" count for the item at the Red on or under... prompt.

How do I clear a count down or 86?

From an idle workstation, press Count Dn or 86. Select an 86'd item by touching it, or switch to another menu panel and touch the an 86'd item there. Enter a manager's Passcode, press Yes to clear the count down, press No to quit the operation.

How do I close a server bank?

From an idle workstation, press Other Options / More Options to locate Svr Bank Read or Close and press it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt, select a server bank to close, press OK, press No.

How do I assign a register?

From the workstation to be assigned, press Other Options / More Options to locate Assign Register and press it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt, select an operator to assign.

  • Tip: A register can also be assigned from Manager Functions, Assign Register.

How do I perform a pay-out or in?

From an idle, assigned workstation, press Other Options / More Options to locate Pay-Out-In and press it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt, select a pay-out or in category, enter a payment method if required, enter an amount, enter a note or press Enter to skip, press Yes to confirm the note if present, press OK.

  • Tip: A pay-out/in can also be performed from Manager Functions, Assign Register.

How do I close a register?

From an idle workstation, press Other Options / More Options to locate Register Read or Close and press it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt, select a register to close, press OK, press No.

How do I look at a closed guest check?

From an idle workstation, press Other Options once, then press Paid Check Review. If requested, enter a manager's Passcode then highlight the closed guest check from those presented and press Look at Check.

How do I re-open a closed guest check?

From an idle workstation, press Other Options once, then press Paid Check Review. If requested, enter a manager's Passcode then highlight the closed guest check from those presented and press Re-Open. Enter a manager's Passcode$ at the prompt.

How do I print a receipt?

A receipt is easily available for the last guest check closed from a workstation by pressing Other Options once, then Print Receipt. For earlier transactions press Other Options once, then Paid Check Review. If requested, enter a manager's Passcode then highlight the guest check and press Receipt. If requested select Regular for a detailed receipt or Short for a summarized receipt.

How do I send a message to staff?

From an idle workstation, press Other Options / More Options to locate Messages and press it. Enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt. Press Send New if pending messages are present or press Yes if there are No messages. Press Person(s) or Job(s) as appropriate and select the persons or jobs needed, press Done. Press Next Punch In or Next In or Out as appropriate then press Delete On Read or Reply Required as appropriate. Type a heading and the message body and press Send Message.

How do I restore a missing "More" button?

From Manager Functions press Menu Setup. Select the appropriate menu panel and use Up or Down to navigate to the appropriate page if required. Press Pagers, then touch the desired button location. Select Page Up or Page Down as appropriate. For a regular menu panel select Left and Middle, for a modifier panel select Left, Middle and Right, for a switch panel select Right. Press Save. Press Done. Press Update Menu Display.

How do I restore a missing menu switch?

From Manager Functions press Menu Setup. Select the appropriate switch panel from the list (e.g. *DR Switches, *Bar Switches, *Main Switches). Press Switches, then touch the desired switch location. Select Left and Middle, de-select Right. Press OK/Save and select the desired menu panel from the list. Press Done. Press Update Menu Display.

How do I change a menu item price?

From Manager Functions press Menu Setup, then use one of the following three methods:

  • 1) Select the appropriate Menu Panel, touch the menu item button, press Edit Item, Tab to advance to the price field, or touch the price field, enter the new price, press Save. Press Done.

    or

  • 2) Select the appropriate Menu Panel, press Prices, touch the menu item button and enter the new price, press Save. Press Done.

    or

  • 3) Select any menu panel, press Menu Item List, press Price List, select the menu item from the list, enter the new price, press Save. Press Done. Press Done.
  • Tip: Don't forget to Update Menu Display.

How do I add a new employee?

From Manager Functions press Employee Setup, then press Add New. At minimum, complete the fields: ID#, Passcode and Last, First M.. Press Edit Jobs and select a job, then press Save. Select additional jobs and Save as necessary, or press Done. Add Privileges, if any, press Save, press Done.

How do I edit an employee time clock record?

From Manager Functions press Employee Setup then select the employee from the list. Press Time Clock Edit and select the needed cycle from the list. Edit time clock information as necessary, using Job and Tips to change job or tips. Press Save, Done. Save, Done.

How do I delete an employee?

From Manager Functions press Employee Setup and then select the employee from the list. Using an attached keyboard press Alt + D  , then press Yes.

How do I close the day?

From Manager Functions press Reports... then Close Day. If the system has been programmed for Limited prompting close, and not to warn if punched in, then ROWER will immediately prompt for one confirmation, press Yes at the Ready to close day? prompt, the close day process will begin immediately. If Warn if punched in... is on, then press Continue or Clock out and the appropriate date and time as each warning prompt is presented, then press Yes at the Ready to close day? prompt. If Limited prompting close is not selected, then in addition to responding to possible time clock warnings, press Yes at the Ready to close day? prompt , OK to attempt settlement, OK at Amex total (if present), OK at Discover total (if present), OK at MC/Visa total, OK at the Did report print OK? prompt.

How do I look at or re-print a previous close day report?

Minimize or close RPOWER and navigate to My Computer, F: drive (or R: drive, depending on installation), rpower, reports. Double click a report to open it in a browser, then view and/or print.

How do I start the next shift?

From Manager Functions press Next Shift, Press Yes.

How do I enter a cash deposit?

From Manager Functions press Daily Deposits. Select an unused bag by pressing it, then enter the deposit amount and press OK. Enter a note describing the source of the deposit and press Enter. Press Save for Later it this deposit is not the last deposit of the day, press Final for  Close Day if this is the last deposit of the day, or press Cancel to quit without recording the deposit.

How do I display RPOWER's status?

From Manager Functions press System Status. Press OK to close the status window.

How do I change printer routing?

From Manager Functions press Printer Routing, select the appropriate printer (press List All Destinations to display non-remote printers as well), select Normal, Alternate or Emergency routing.

From Manager Functions, press Re-open Drawer/Bank and select the appropriate drawer or bank.

How do I clear the message "There is a pending problem..."?

From Manager Functions press Miscellaneous Credit Card, then press Clear CC Problem. *

  • Important!: RPOWER is intentionally persistent with these messages (one will be displayed every time an operator enters Manager Functions) to ensure that management is aware there is a problem with the settlement, and that the appropriate actions are taken. Always be sure that the appropriate personnel have been notified before clearing the credit card message.

How do I re-settle credit cards?

From Manager Functions press Miscellaneous Credit Card, then press Settle Credit Cards Now.

From Manager Functions press Miscellaneous Credit Card, then press Sale. Enter any check number, any clerk number, the card number and expiration date (swipe if available), base amount and tip amount. Press Send, or (Re-)Enter Card Info if re-entering an obscured card number.

From Manager Functions press Minimize RPOWER. To return to RPOWER touch the RPOWER Restaurant POS icon in the Windows task bar.

From Manager Functions, press Training Mode. To return to normal operations press Exit Training Mode from Manager Functions.

  • Important!: Use Sort/Fix File only at the request of support personnel.

How do I change the system date and time?

From Manager Functions press System Maintenance, then press System Date and Time. Press Enter Date & Time and enter the new Date and/or Time as needed. Press Apply.

  • Note: An RPOWER system that is connected to the internet will have its date and time set automatically through NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) to an accuracy of one millisecond.

From Manager Functions press System Maintenance, then press Clean Out Notes File, press Yes, press OK.

How do I exit RPOWER?

From Manager Functions press System Setup, then Exit RPOWER. Press Yes at Exit System, then press No to exit only that workstation, or press Yes to exit all workstations. Press Yes to continue exiting all workstations and then enter a manager's Passcode at the prompt. To restart RPOWER double click the RPOWER icon on the desktop.
