Initial Notes

Here are some initial notes on additional Menu Import fields to be used import and manage inventory at the same time.

INV_CAT_NAME
If not provided, the menu item CAT_NAME will be used instead. If neither is available, then the inventory item will not import. The menu item will still have already been added or updated. (If a menu item fails to import, inventory is not looked at.)
INV_VENDOR
Required. It is the name of the vendor. If it is the word "BASE", then it will be ignored and no vendor will be created and no vendor item work will be done.
INV_VEN_NO
The vendor's item number. If provided, a vendor item will be created and/or modified. Otherwise no vendor item work will be done.
INV_USE_BY
If provided, it will set the base item's Used by the.
INV_CNT_BY
If provided, it will set the base item's Counted by the.
INV_USE_IN_CNT
If provided, it will set the base item's (Use-by) per (Count-by).
INV_CASE_DESC
If provided, it will set the base item's Case description.
INV_CASE_COUNT
If this number is not defined, and both INV_CASE_PRICE and INV_UNIT_PRICE are non-zero, then it will be calculated from the case price divided by the unit price. If a non-zero number exists after this, then it will set new or override both an existing base item and a vendor item. If zero, then the number will be taken from the existing base item and will not override an existing vendor item. If still zero, it will be set to 1.
INV_CASE_PRICE
If provided, it overrides unit price. If not provided, it is calculated from unit price times case count.
INV_UNIT_PRICE
If zero, it will be set to the MIT_COST import field if one is provided elsewhere. If still zero, or if a case price is provided at all, it will be calculated as the case price divided by the case count (case price will override unit price).

Regardless of how the unit price derived, it will set the base item's last cost and last inventory cost if the item's last cost is zero. If the vendor item's last price is zero, it will set that too. The inventory base item will be added as an ingredient to the menu item if it is not one already. If the menu item has only one ingredient, its cost of goods will be set to the unit price.
