Exporting data to Robeks Corporate

From RPOWERWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The RobeksTableExporter is scheduled to run automatically every night at 4:30 am. It automatically posts all sales data to Robeks that was added to our database since the last time the exporter ran. Optionally, you can run it at any time to post all sales data newer than the last time it ran, or you can instruct it to post historical data for a store or stores:

If you need to post all new data since the last time the exporter ran:

  1. On K3Server6, navigate to the Z:\RPOWER.Central\RFX\DATACNX\RobeksDataExporter folder.
  2. Double-click RobeksExport1_custom.exe, or select that file, right-click on it, and select Run.
  3. This will automatically post all data since the last time the exporter ran. You can check progress in the RobeksDataExporter.log file, which is also in this directory.

If you need to post historical data for a specific store:

  1. On K3Server6, navigate to the Z:\RPOWER.Central\RFX\DATACNX\RobeksDataExporter folder.
  2. Hold down Shift while you right-click in this folder, and select Open Command Window Here from the pop-up menu. This will open a command window with the working directory set to this folder.
  3. In the command window, type RobeksExport1_custom.exe (or type only a portion of the name and press Tab to have the rest of the file name auto-filled). Then type a space, the store id, the starting date of the date range in database format (yyyy-mm-dd), another space, and then the ending date of the date range (again, yyyy-mm-dd). Remember that the ending date is non-inclusive meaning that you need to add 1 day to the ending date. Example:

    RobeksExport1_custom.exe 184 2014-06-10 2014-06-12

In the example above, data for June 10 and 11 was needed for store 184. Because the end date is non-inclusive, even though the last date you need is June 11, you add 1 day and type in the end date for June 12.

    # Press Enter. The RobeksExport1_custom.exe should run. You can check its progress in the log file.

To export data for all stores, replace the store id number with the number 4. To the SQL Database, 4 indicates all stores.
